The goal of this update was to update the backsplash and countertop to compliment the cabinetry.  Mission accomplished! 

Here's what we did: 

Replaced Countertops:  The white really brightened up the space and doesn't compete with the flooring & backsplash.

Replaced Backsplash: This backsplash is unique in that it has texture to it.  It finishes off the space nicely. 

Removed Appliance Garage: This allowed for more countertop space and overall a more open feel to the kitchen.
